Case Study · Website Transformation
A complete digital transformation for Sip n Putt, an 18-hole mini golf course in New Braunfels, Texas. We took a three-page website and rebuilt it into a nine-page destination site - plus a live drink-ordering app, a front-desk order dashboard, and an online pro shop.
Before a pixel changed, we went through the old site page by page. Six things stood between the course and the guests looking for it.
Home, Gallery and Contact - three pages, total. No page described the actual 18-hole course, its rock work or its waterfalls.
Drinks and snacks meant leaving your hole and walking to the counter. There was no way to order from a phone.
Merchandise had no online presence at all - no products, no prices, nowhere to browse before a visit.
Birthdays, corporate outings and group events had nowhere to be described or booked.
The hidden layer search engines read never said “golf course” or “entertainment venue” - generic labels only.
Hours, products and answers weren’t in a form AI assistants can read, so they had little to work with when recommending the course.
We saved a copy of the old site and audited it - and we’ll tell you what it did right, too. Here is the honest scorecard, old versus new.
Every row above was checked on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. Where the old site already did something right - alt text, page titles, canonical URLs - the table says so.
The left side is Sip n Putt’s old website. The right side is the redesign. These are the real sites, not screenshots - judge the transformation yourself.
The homepage. Tap any page below to compare it full screen - three of the pages below didn’t exist on the old site at all.
Tap a page to open the full-screen comparison - live sites, drag to reveal. Where a page didn’t exist before, the before side says so plainly.
This wasn’t just a redesign. Sip n Putt got three real operational tools: a drink-ordering app for guests, a live order dashboard for staff, and an online pro shop. None of these existed on the old site in any form. Tap any of them to open the live app.
Each card above opens the real, live app - not a mockup. The front-desk dashboard is currently shown with demo data, since the course has not switched over to the new site yet.
Both screens below are the real sites, loaded live at phone width right now - not screenshots.
On the new site, every action above is one tap from the homepage - including ordering a drink and shopping the pro shop, neither of which existed on the old site at all.
Anyone can make a website prettier. The layer underneath - the one Google, Siri and ChatGPT actually read - is where this redesign does its quietest work.
What most businesses have and never know it
What we give every client
We didn’t just redesign what people see.
We rebuilt what Google and AI systems see too.
Every figure above was counted on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. We don’t promise rankings - nobody honestly can. We build sites that search engines and AI assistants can actually read, which is what rankings are built on.
Here is what was actually delivered inside the 72 hours.
All 9 pages designed around the Sip n Putt brand - not a template with new colors.
Layouts tuned separately for small screens, where first impressions are usually made.
Guests enter their name and check-in number and order from their phone, mid-round.
A live board of every open order, so staff always know what’s coming and going out.
20 real products, priced and categorized - order online, pick up at the front desk.
Titles, descriptions, headings, canonicals, sitemap and robots directives on every page.
Business type, address and hours written in the format Google reads.
Hours, products and a structured FAQ, plus an llms.txt file for AI assistants.
The new site gives each part of a visit its own place to sell itself. Tap any of them to compare that page, before and after.
Each card above is a real page on the new site - none of them existed on the old site in any form.
No made-up traffic charts. Just what is finished, checked and waiting for the go-ahead.
