Case Study · Website Transformation
A complete digital transformation for My Sistas. We took the single-page site Kionelie Ortega already had and rebuilt it into a fourteen-page website with its own private membership platform - without changing who My Sistas is or what the sisterhood believes.
Before a pixel changed, we went through the old site top to bottom. Six things stood between My Sistas and the women looking for a place like it.
The story, the gatherings, the way to reach Kionelie - everything lived on a single WordPress page with three anchor links and nowhere else to go.
Visitors could read about the sisterhood and click a “Join Our Sisterhood” button, but that button only scrolled the page - there was no membership to join.
The single page carried three separate <h1> headings - “MySistas,” “About MySistas,” “Contact Us” - a structure that leaves both readers and search engines unsure what the page is actually about.
A prayer request, a membership question, a general inquiry - all of it went through the same single contact form.
No meta description, no Open Graph tags, and zero structured data anywhere - search engines had almost nothing to work with beyond a bare title tag.
No robots.txt, no sitemap, no llms.txt - the plain-language file AI assistants increasingly check first. An assistant asked about My Sistas had nothing to go on.
We saved a copy of the old site and audited it - and we’ll tell you what it did right, too. Here is the honest scorecard, old versus new.
Every row above was checked on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. Where the old site already did something right - a canonical link, full alt text on its photos - the table says so.
The left side is My Sistas’ old website. The right side is the redesign, playing its video right now. These are the real sites, not screenshots - judge the transformation yourself.
The homepage. The old site’s one page had three sections. The new site has fourteen - tap any page below to compare it full screen.
The old site was one page with three anchor sections - #about, #products, #contact. Where a new page grew out of one of those sections, we compare it there. Where a new page simply didn’t exist before, we say so plainly and show the old homepage for reference.
7 of the 13 new subpages above - Give & Partner, Questions, Links, Safety, Privacy, Terms and Accessibility - had no old page at all. That gap, on its own, is some of the strongest evidence of what changed.
This is licensed stock photography and film, not Kionelie’s own footage - the new site says so plainly in its own footer, and so do we. What changed is that the old site had zero video elements anywhere, and the new site is built around motion throughout: 4 video elements on the home page alone. Drag the example, then tap any page below to see its hero move.
watch it come alive The homepage hero. Left: the poster frame. Right: the same hero, playing.
Credit where due - the old site’s hamburger menu is real and genuinely responsive, not a shrunk-down desktop layout. What it can’t do is take a visitor anywhere beyond three anchor sections. Both screens below are the real sites, live, loaded at phone width right now - not screenshots.
On the new site, every action above is one tap from the top of the homepage - on the old site, the same taps only ever scrolled to one of three sections.
Anyone can make a website prettier. The layer underneath - the one Google, Siri and ChatGPT actually read - is where this redesign does its quietest work.
What most businesses have and never know it
What we give every client
We didn’t just redesign what people see.
We rebuilt what Google and AI systems see too.
Every figure above was counted on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. We don’t promise rankings - nobody honestly can. We build sites that search engines and AI assistants can actually read, which is what rankings are built on.
Here is what was actually delivered inside the 48 hours.
Home, Our Story, Founder, Gatherings, Prayer, Join, Give & Partner, Contact, Questions, Links, Safety, Privacy, Terms and Accessibility.
Built for the phone first, on top of a foundation where the old mobile menu already worked - credit where due.
30 Sisterhood and Office pages built alongside the public site - the full tour is below.
Contact and Prayer Request, each built for its own purpose, instead of one form covering everything.
Titles, descriptions, headings, canonicals, sitemap and robots directives on every page.
7 schema types, including FAQPage on 5 pages, Person for the founder, and ContactPage.
A robots.txt that names 13 AI crawlers, plus a 2,565-byte llms.txt written in plain language.
4 video elements on the home page alone - licensed stock footage, honestly labeled as such, not the client’s own photography.
Underneath the 14 public pages sits a complete, working membership platform - built, tested and waiting for Kionelie’s content, a payment connection and the domain cutover. Here is what’s inside, room by room.
After signing in
A separate back office, “the Office” - built to run from a phone
The platform currently runs with 5 clearly-labeled fictional sample members, seeded so Kionelie can see it working before a real member signs up. Each one is disclosed as fictional in the product itself, and every one is removed the day the first real member signs up.
Card payments are wired to Stripe and Square but not yet turned on. A Sister’s chosen amount is saved, and nothing is charged until Kionelie flips that on - the live site already says so. Nothing here is being presented as having real members yet: this is a completed, working platform waiting for Kionelie’s content, her payment connection, and the domain cutover.
No made-up traffic charts. Just what is finished, checked and waiting for the go-ahead.

This was a complex build - most Launch Automation builds have a low or no build fee and a lower monthly fee than this one, because most don’t include a full membership platform. A website-only option, without the Sisterhood platform, is available at $97/month.
