Case Study · Website Transformation
A complete digital rebuild for Ascend Financial Wellness Group, Cheri Muniz’s California insurance and financial services practice. The old site was a single scrolling homepage on GoDaddy. We turned it into a full site with its own pages, a live coverage-gap calculator, and a smart contact form - without changing a thing about how Cheri actually works with clients.
Before a pixel changed, we went through the old site top to bottom. Six things stood between Cheri and the families and business owners looking for her.
A stock template look and a dated logo mark that didn’t build the trust people need before sharing income and health details.
On both desktop and phone, the cookie notice sits directly over the hero message on first load - the first thing every visitor sees is a banner.
A single email-address field was the entire lead-capture system, and the listed contact email itself has a typo that would bounce every reply.
Life insurance, health insurance, business funding, financial consulting and LegalShield all shared one homepage, with no room for any of them to explain itself.
The hidden layer search engines read had zero structured data and no meta description - nothing telling Google what kind of business this is.
With no FAQ marked up as data and no dedicated service pages, an AI assistant asked about Ascend had one thin page to draw from.
We saved a copy of the old site and audited it - and we’ll tell you what it did right, too. Here is the honest scorecard, old versus new.
Every row above was checked on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. Where the old site already did something right - a working responsive viewport, real tel: links - the table says so.
The left side is Ascend’s old homepage - the only page the old site had. The right side is the new homepage. These are same-day, full-page screenshots of the real sites, not mockups - the old site’s own security settings block it from being framed live, so both sides are shown the same honest way.

The homepage. Below, every new page gets the same treatment - tap a card to compare it full screen.
The old site was a single scroll, so every card below compares that same homepage against a real page that did not exist before. Tap a page to compare it full screen.
Same-day captures of both homepages at iPhone width, panning automatically so you can see how much of each page loads before a visitor lifts a finger - and yes, the cookie banner really does sit over the old headline on mobile too.

On the new site, Cheri’s number dials directly from any page, and the coverage-gap tool works the same on a phone as it does on a laptop - no hunting through a menu first.
Anyone can make a website prettier. The layer underneath - the one Google, Siri and ChatGPT actually read - is where this redesign does its quietest work.
What most businesses have and never know it
What we give every client
We didn’t just redesign what people see.
We rebuilt what Google and AI systems see too.
Every figure above was counted on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. We don’t promise rankings - nobody honestly can. We build sites that search engines and AI assistants can actually read, which is what rankings are built on.
Here is what was actually delivered inside the 24 hours.
All 18 pages designed around Ascend’s own brand - not a template with new colors.
10 schema types on the homepage alone - business data, hours, FAQ and more, written for machines.
Four sliders compute a personalized protection number in real time and hand it straight to the contact form.
Routed by interest type, builds a complete pre-filled email so nothing a visitor types gets silently dropped.
Life insurance, health insurance, business funding, financial consulting and LegalShield - each its own page.
Titles, descriptions, headings and canonicals on every page.
18 pages a search engine or an AI assistant can actually find and read.
Layouts built for the phone first, with Cheri’s number one tap away on every page.
Instead of five paragraphs sharing one homepage, each service now has its own place to explain itself. Tap any of them to compare that page, before and after.
Each card above is a real page on the new site, with its own content and its own path to a conversation.
No made-up traffic charts. Just what is finished, checked and waiting for the go-ahead.
