Real.Rent Case Study · Built From Zero

From nothing to a live matching platform.

Real.Rent didn’t have a website. Not an old one, not a dated one - none at all. Launch Automation built Chris Brown a 16-page platform that separates prospective buyers from homeowners, verifies every address against Google’s own data, and routes each lead to the right person automatically - all before a human ever sees it.

The Starting Point

A real idea.
No platform to run it on.

This wasn’t a redesign. There was nothing to redesign. Here is what that actually meant for a two-sided matching business.

No online presence at all

There was no domain to send a prospective buyer or homeowner to - nothing for either side of the match to find.

No way to tell buyers from homeowners

A matching business has two different intake conversations. Without a site, both had to be handled the same way, by hand.

No way to check if an address was real

Property and destination addresses had to be taken on faith and checked manually, one at a time.

No spam defense of any kind

Nothing stood between a public inquiry form and a person’s inbox.

No recorded consent

A regulated, two-sided real estate service needs a clear record of what a visitor agreed to - none existed.

Invisible to search & AI

Nothing declared Real.Rent, its service area, or how it works in the hidden layer Google and AI assistants read - because nothing existed to declare it.

What We Measured

There was no old site to compare against.
So the “before” column is just true.

Every row on the right was measured on the live site and its own source files. Every row on the left is simply what did not exist yet.

Now, live
A website at all

Separates buyers from homeowners
One conversation, handled by hand
Two distinct 4-step guided intakes, each with its own validation rules
Verifies an address is real
Taken on faith, checked by hand
Google Places autocomplete, server-side - the API key never reaches the browser
Blocks spam before a human sees it
No defense of any kind
Honeypot field, submission-timing check, and optional Cloudflare Turnstile
Routes a lead to the right person
Every inquiry went to one inbox
Auto-routed by ZIP, then county, city, or state, with a safe fallback
Answers AI can quote
Nothing for an assistant to read
50-question FAQ, every pair marked up as FAQPage schema
AI & search crawler policy
No robots.txt, no llms.txt
robots.txt names 5 AI crawlers directly, plus a full llms.txt manifest
Records consent the way a regulator would want it
Nothing recorded, nothing to audit
The exact disclosure text is stored with every lead, compared against what the visitor saw
Security headers on every response
No site, no headers
Strict CSP, HSTS, nosniff, and a locked-down permissions policy, live day one

There is no archived old site because there was no old site. Every “Now, live” figure above was measured directly from the live site’s own source files on 2026-09-02; methodology available on request.

The Build drag the divider!

There was nothing to put on the left.
So we said so - drag to see what replaced it.

The right side is the real, live site, playing right now. Nothing on the left is a screenshot of an old website, because none existed.

No Website ExistedReal.Rent didn’t resolve to anything before this build. There was no digital presence of any kind.

Mobile First

For most prospects, the first look
happens on a phone.

So the platform was built for the phone first. The left screen shows what a phone found before this build - nothing. The right screen is a same-day capture of the live site, scrolling through the real homepage at phone size.

On the live site, the two entry paths are one tap from the homepage on any device, and the address field verifies what you type as you type it - no separate app, no manual lookup.

The Scope

One relationship, a complete platform.

Here is what was actually delivered - not a template with new colors.

The centerpiece

A verification-backed, CRM-ready lead-routing system

Not a form that just emails someone. Two separate 4-step guided intakes - one for buyers, one for homeowners - both post to a server-side function that validates, verifies and routes every submission before anyone sees it:

  • Every address is checked against Google’s own Places data as the visitor types - the API key stays server-side, it never reaches the browser
  • Buyer and homeowner submissions run through completely separate validation rules - a buyer needs a location, a homeowner needs a verified property address
  • A hidden honeypot field plus a submission-timing check silently drops bot traffic before it ever reaches the database
  • An optional Cloudflare Turnstile challenge adds a second layer of spam defense with zero visible friction for real visitors
  • Leads are auto-routed to a representative by ZIP code, then county, then city, then state, with a safe default inbox if none match
  • The exact consent disclosure a visitor saw is stored with their submission and compared against what the client’s own copy says - not just trusted blindly
  • The homeowner intake says plainly, right on the form, that the financial figures entered are for review only - they don’t set a purchase price or a specific payment, so no one fills it out thinking a number is a binding offer
  • IP addresses are hashed with a salt before they ever touch the database - the raw address is never stored
  • Two emails go out automatically per submission - a formatted lead notification to the right representative, and a plain confirmation to the visitor - both sent without making the visitor wait for them
Complete platform build

16 pages built around two audiences - buyers and homeowners - each with its own path.

Structured-data foundation

Organization, WebSite and FAQPage schema in use site-wide, verified against the live source.

AI-readable content layer

A structured llms.txt manifest naming every page, built for the way AI assistants actually read a site.

Server-side address verification

A live Google Places proxy confirms every address without ever exposing the API key to a visitor’s browser.

Layered spam defense

Honeypot field, timing check, and optional Turnstile - three layers before a lead ever reaches a database.

Mobile-first responsive build

Every page and both intake flows built and tested at phone width first.

Technical SEO foundation

Titles, descriptions, canonicals, a 6-URL sitemap and a named-crawler robots.txt on every indexed page.

Security headers, day one

Strict Content-Security-Policy, HSTS, nosniff and a locked-down Permissions-Policy on every response.

Built for the Actual Business

One platform. Two audiences.

Instead of one generic homepage, the site gives each side of the match its own place to work. Tap any of them to open the real, live page.

Each card above is a real, live page on the site - tap it to open it full screen. Buyer and homeowner traffic is split from the homepage down to the intake form itself.

Live & Verified

Not launching soon. Already live.

No made-up traffic charts. Just what is built, verified and running today.

Complete responsive platform - 16 pages, desktop and mobile
Two 4-step guided intakes - separate paths and validation for buyers and homeowners
Server-side address verification - Google’s own data, API key never exposed
Spam blocked before a human sees it - honeypot, timing check, optional Turnstile
Structured data verified - Organization, WebSite & FAQPage schema, live
50-question FAQ - fully marked up for search and AI
Named crawler policy - robots.txt names 5 AI crawlers directly
Sitemap & crawl instructions - 6 URLs, live and verified
Strict security headers - CSP, HSTS, nosniff and a locked permissions policy
Consent recorded properly - the exact disclosure text, stored with every lead
No-pressure homeowner disclaimer - the intake form says plainly that entered figures are for review only, not a set price
Fair Housing disclosure - built into the footer of every page
Live in production - not a mockup, not a preview

The Math

What would a project like this
normally cost?

Published small-business pricing puts a comparable freelance or boutique build at $1,500 to $12,000 up front, plus $92 to $417 a month in hosting, security and maintenance. A custom lead-routing system with server-side address verification and layered spam defense is typically a separate development project on top of that. This build shipped a 16-page platform and a verification-backed routing system together, in one relationship.

$77Per month, everything included
24 hrsFrom intake to a live site

This was a straightforward build - one business, two intake paths, no legacy site to migrate. Most builds carry a low or no build fee and a modest monthly fee, priced to the scope of the work.

How It Works

Starting from zero, or replacing something old? Three steps.

1

Tell us about your business

No existing site required. Tell us what you do and who you serve - that’s the whole assignment.

2

We design and build everything

The site, the structured data, and a verification-backed lead system - built around what you actually do.

3

Review privately, then go live

You see everything at a private link before anything goes live to the public.
