The Challenge

Lil’ Images of Blessings had a real story to tell.
Its website wasn’t telling it.

Before a pixel changed, we went through the old site page by page. Six things stood between the school and the families looking for it.

Dated visual experience

The homepage led with a generic stock “LEARN” blocks graphic - nothing about the actual center, its classrooms or the children in them.

Weak mobile experience

Built on a legacy do-it-yourself platform, where a first impression on a phone usually happens.

Limited conversion paths

Booking a tour meant hunting for a phone number - there was no dedicated way to request one online.

Underutilized content

Two entire program pages - Preschool and School Age - were left completely blank on the old site.

Search visibility gaps

The hidden layer search engines read never said “licensed child care” - no business type, no hours, no staff.

Not built for AI search

There was no FAQ page and no llms.txt file, so AI assistants had little to work with when asked about the school.

The Audit

Before we touched a pixel, we measured.

We saved a copy of the old site and audited it - and we’ll tell you what it did right, too. Here is the honest scorecard, old versus new.

Area

No FAQ page on the site
23 structured questions and answers across 5 pages
Job openings readable by machines
An “Employment Opportunities” page, no structured data

10 of 10 pages
Headline (H1) on every page
Missing on 6 of 24 pages
Present on 10 of 10 pages
An AI-readable llms.txt file
Address returns a generic not-found page
A real file - hours, ages and the director, in one place
Sitemap & robots.txt in place
Present - credit where due
Rebuilt clean and kept

Every row above was checked on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. Where the old site already did something right - a real sitemap and robots.txt, meta descriptions on most pages - the table says so.

Mobile First

For most parents, the first look
happens on a phone.

So the redesign was built for the phone first. The left screen is a same-day capture of the old site at iPhone size. The right screen is a same-day capture of the new site at phone size - and it scrolls, just like the real thing.

The Scope

This wasn’t a new coat of paint.

Here is what was actually delivered inside the 24 hours.

Complete redesign

All 10 pages designed around the school - not a template with new colors.

Custom mobile experience

Layouts tuned separately for small screens, where most parents look first.

Smart tour-request form

Validates in real time, routes by age group, and never dead-ends - if the office inbox isn’t wired up, it opens the visitor’s own email instead of failing silently.

Every age group, covered

Infant and toddler each have their own page. Preschool and school age are written out in full on the Programs page - six weeks to thirteen years, nothing left blank.

Technical SEO foundation

Titles, descriptions, headings, canonicals, sitemap and robots directives on every page.

Structured business data

Business type, address, hours and ages served, written in the format Google reads.

AI-readable answers

23 quotable FAQ answers plus a dedicated llms.txt file for AI assistants.

Careers built as data

Open roles marked up as job postings machines can index.

Built for the Actual Business

One school. Every family’s need, its own page.

Instead of one page trying to cover everything, the new site gives each part of a family’s decision its own place to answer questions. Tap any of them to compare that page, before and after.

Each card above is a real page on the new site, with its own content and its own path to book a tour.

Launch Readiness

Ready for launch.

No made-up traffic charts. Just what is finished, checked and waiting for the go-ahead.

The Math

normally require?

Published industry pricing puts a small-business website build at $500 to $30,000 depending on scope, with ongoing maintenance running $50 to $200 a month - and that’s before every future edit is billed on top.
