The Challenge

Eat Better Meals had real food
and real customers. Its website wasn’t built to be found.

Before a pixel changed, we went through the old site page by page - and checked what it looked like to a search engine, not just a person. Six things stood between the kitchen and the customers searching for it.

Invisible to anything that isn’t a browser

The site is a single-page app. Every one of its ten pages returns the exact same empty shell to search engines and AI crawlers - the real content only appears after a browser runs the code.

No dedicated menu page

There was no page a search engine - or a customer sharing a link - could point to for the menu. Meals only appeared inside the order widget after it finished loading.

Search visibility gaps

Zero structured data anywhere on the site - no business type, no menu, no FAQ markup - so search engines had to guess what the business even was.

Not built for AI search

No real llms.txt, no structured business or menu data - an AI assistant asked about meal prep on Long Island had nothing here to read.

No content beyond the cart

No blog, no dedicated how-it-works or delivery-schedule page - nothing else for a new visitor to read, or for search engines to index.

Same title on every page

All ten pages shared one generic title and description - “Elevate your Meal Prep Company” - a leftover from the platform template, not written for this business.

The Audit

Before we touched a pixel, we measured.

We saved a copy of the old site and audited it - and we’ll tell you what it did right, too. Here is the honest scorecard, old versus new.

Area
Original site
Rebuilt site
Tells Google it’s a real food business
No business type declared - zero structured data, any page
Name, address, phone, service area & cuisines, machine-readable
Readable without running JavaScript

Full real content in the raw HTML, on every page
Menu machines can read
No menu page - dishes only exist inside a JavaScript widget
9 dishes with real prices, published as structured Menu data
Page titles & descriptions
The identical generic title & description on all 10 pages
Unique, page-specific title & description on all 12 pages
Sitemap & an AI-readable file
sitemap.xml & llms.txt both return 200 - both the same empty shell
A real 12-URL sitemap and a genuine llms.txt AI assistants can read
FAQ machines can quote
A FAQ page exists, none of it structured data
25 structured questions and answers
Canonical URLs
None found on any page checked
Present on all 12 pages
robots.txt points somewhere real
Disallow rules only - no working Sitemap: line

Every row above was checked on saved copies of both sites, captured the same day. Where the old site already did something right - the written customer reviews on its testimonials page, real alt text on every one of its images - the table says so.

Mobile First

For most customers, the first look
happens on a phone.

So the redesign was built for the phone first. The left screen is a same-day capture of the old site at iPhone size. The right screen is the new site itself, loaded live at phone size.

The Scope

This wasn’t a new coat of paint.

Here is what was actually delivered inside under 48 hours.

Complete redesign

All 12 pages designed around the Eat Better Meals brand - not a template with new colors.

Migrated off a JavaScript-only platform

Moved from a single-page app search engines can’t read into fast, real HTML pages.

Custom mobile experience

Layouts tuned for the phone, including a delivery calendar built for small screens.

Menu built as real data

9 dishes with real prices, published so both people and machines can read them.

A working delivery calendar

Order Friday through Monday, arrives Wednesday. Order Tuesday through Thursday, arrives Sunday - shown plainly, not buried in an FAQ.

Technical SEO foundation

Titles, descriptions, headings, canonicals, sitemap and robots directives on every page.

AI-readable business data

A genuine llms.txt, FoodEstablishment schema and a 25-question FAQ machines can quote.

New content that didn’t exist

A blog with 3 articles, live from day one, plus dedicated How It Works and Delivery pages.

Built for the Actual Business

One kitchen. Every reason to order.

Instead of treating Eat Better Meals like a generic meal-kit template, the new site gives every real part of the business - the menu, the delivery schedule, the FAQ - its own place to prove itself. Tap any of them to compare that page, before and after.

Each card above is a real page on the new site, with its own content and its own path to order.

Ready for launch.

No made-up traffic charts. Just what is finished, checked and waiting for the go-ahead.
