Because no two projects are the same and I can't honestly predict the exact scope before we start. One session can be hours of terminal commands, API wiring, and integrating tools; the next we might lose time because AI did something unexpected or an integration broke and we have to troubleshoot live. An hourly rate is the only fair way to price work that genuinely varies that much. You pay for the time we actually spend, and nothing you don't use. My time is valuable. I will always work as fast as I possibly can, but if you're on a tight budget and you'll be watching the clock minute by minute, please don't hire me. You'll be stressed and I won't be able to do my best work. If you understand that good setups take the time they take, we'll be a great fit. Whatever time you grab on my calendar is yours. Pick any open slot that works for you and it's booked, no back-and-forth. I keep my calendar current and work nights and weekends too, so if you can see the time, you can book it. Sessions are non-refundable if you cancel inside 48 hours or no-show. I block my calendar for you and turn down other work for that hour. If you reschedule with at least 48 hours notice, the payment carries over to the new time. Cancel or no-show inside that window and the session is forfeit. The $20/month Claude Pro plan runs out of capacity fast and isn't realistic for the kind of work we'll do (long projects, big context, agent workflows). The $100/month plan is the practical floor, and the $200/month plan is what I actually recommend. It removes the usage limits that get in your way once you start working seriously. That's actually who this is built for. You don't need to write code or use a terminal. I drive your computer through remote screen-share while you watch and learn. The whole point is that you don't have to figure out the technical pieces. I do that part, and I teach you the patterns so you can repeat them yourself. Works on both. I use Mac myself, but everything we set up runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Claude is web-based. Obsidian runs on all three. Remote login works with any computer and any operating system. Your current hardware isn't a blocker. We can do plenty of meaningful work with whatever you've already got. That said, if you're shopping for a new machine and you're serious about AI long-term, here's my honest recommendation: Apple Silicon (M-series chips) are genuinely great for local LLMs. Aim for at least an M4 chip with 32GB of unified memory. That's the sweet spot where you can comfortably run local models at decent speeds. 64GB opens things up even more for bigger models and heavier workloads. I'd avoid the base 16GB configurations if local AI is part of your long-term plan. You'll outgrow it quickly. Yes. We use standard tools like Zoom remote control or AnyDesk.
